kirkland public works Operations Center

This was our first maintenance and operations center.  This project provided 5 buildings on two sites separated by a City street. Construction was phased to allow operations to continue during construction.

We provided complete services, from initial programming and site planning through design and construction observation on this project to accommodate Kirkland's Public Works, Equipment Rental, and Parks maintenance operations. Facilities included four new buildings and the remodeling of an old warehouse building.

The facility provides workshops, warehouse, parking, vehicle maintenance, fueling and decant. Across the street is the admin building with office and crew facilities and a large meeting room/lunch room.  The layout allowed the building to be used for community meetings, and the City used the building or City events. 

The city awarded the facility “Best Industrial Design in Kirkland.”
